Ali McNabney-Stevens is a British abstract expressionist based in Melbourne with representation in both Australia, through Studio Gallery Group and the USA. Her works aim to explore the links between her experiences and artistic practice through recollections and the here and now. Using flora and fauna as a catalyst, she creates a dialogue using oils and collages to search for her imagery. Her paintings draw physical reference from still life whilst the narrative expels lifecycle observations of a deep, raw and mulled beauty. Ali earned her Honours degree in Design and History of Art from Edinburgh College of Art, with further fine art studies at London’s Saint Martin’s. She consistently displays her pedigree with an impressive body of abstract works.
