LUME House
LUME House is a thoughtfully resolved family home, where considered design shapes every experience. From the street, a composition of architectural handmade brick and rich walnut timber cladding forms a refined, inviting facade. Its clean, linear lines give the home a modern presence, while the interplay of tone and texture, softened by subtle detailing from a sculptural brass door handle to the neutral palette, introduces tactility and warmth.
Inside, the home is defined by light and materiality, with western and northern-facing aspects drawing the afternoon sun through the entry and front rooms. A feature brick wall transcends through exterior to inside, while the formal lounge opens onto a landscaped courtyard, reinforcing the seamless connection between indoors and out.
Chevron oak flooring guides movement through the open-plan living, dining and kitchen areas. Each zone is distinct, yet the abundant light that permeates the open spaces and the consistent use of stone, timber and warm neutral tones tie the home together, creating an effortless sense of cohesion and flow.
In collaboration with Archer Interiors, the interior design and styling is guided by a contemporary European aesthetic, reimagining traditional detailing through a modern lens. The kitchen is a striking focal point, anchored by Calacatta Viola stone whose dramatic veining commands attention while the profiled cabinetry ads a refined subtlety to the European aesthetic. The dining area sits adjacent to both the kitchen and a concealed bar, tucked behind sleek steel doors and finished with the same elegant stone, creating a subtle yet unforgettable moment within the home.

Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and stacker doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, allowing the open-plan living and dining areas to flow seamlessly into the alfresco and backyard. Here, design and function coexist effortlessly: doors recess into the brick walls, preserving clean lines and architectural continuity, while outdoor spaces unfold into outdoor dining zones, lounging areas and the pool. Natural light and a consistent material palette carry through, linking interior and exterior with thoughtful intent, while subtle details ensure the transition feels effortless. The result is a home that is timeless, relaxed and perfectly attuned to family life and entertaining, where every space is beautiful, purposeful and seamlessly connected.
The basement connected by a feature stairwell is designed with the same attention to purpose and materiality, seamlessly combining functional and lifestyle spaces. Beyond practicality, it extends into a wellness zone with a gym and sauna, where warm walnut joinery and the oak chevron flooring softens and elevates the environment.
Upstairs, the primary suite continues the home’s design narrative, offering a serene retreat with a walk-in robe, a statement ensuite in Calacatta Viola stone and a custom walnut feature wall within the bedroom that adds warmth and understated luxury.
