Our new Valley View residence is the latest in our Landmark Collection and with its focus on connecting the architecture to the environment, it captures the essence of the contemporary Australian lifestyle.

The use of contrasting organic materials such as charcoal and grey render mixed with rustic stone and warm timber cladding on the façade sits in harmony with the leafy landscape and orientation of the site and sets the scene for what lies within.

Inspired by the slopes of the land and the surrounding valley reserve, the home surprises with interesting levels and distinctive custom details throughout. Large architectural eaves and windows coupled with spectacularly high ceilings create a sense of openness and space that seamlessly connect to the outdoors and elevate the concept of indoor/outdoor living.

Statement features such as a sweeping staircase to the upper level capture the eye and add a level of sophistication and grandeur to the light-filled interior.

Valley View enjoys the luxury of two unique outdoor areas; the alfresco dining area looks out onto a private landscaped garden and provides a picturesque view from the open plan living/dining/kitchen. On the other side of the home, a pergola covered deck overlooks a Japanese-inspired garden that encourages relaxation and contemplation.

The client’s vision was for a home that had the feeling of a tranquil sanctuary while still allowing space for their family and friends to enjoy. Our solution was to create a separate outdoor studio away from the house which could multipurpose as a children’s playroom, home office and guest retreat.
